Meeting Da's Family

For those of you who haven't heard the story yet, Max calls Dale's girlfriend, Linda, "Da."  He got excited to see her over at my parents' house one day when he was about 18 months, and he started shouting, "Papada, Papada, Papada!"  At first, we weren't sure what he was saying, but then we figured out that he was saying hi to Papa (which is what he calls Dale) and "Da," which was his version of Linda.  The name stuck!

We finally had a chance to meet Da's family, who was visiting for Christmas from Ohio!  It was wonderful to hang out with Da's mother, Yolanda; her step father, George; her son, Michael; her daughter, Gina; her son-in-law, Todd; and her two precious grandsons, Alex (25 months) and Drew (8 months).

We didn't really get a great shot of everyone, but here you can see--clockwise from 2 o'clock--Dale, Da, Gina, Alex, Lance, Max, Todd, and Drew.  Sorry we didn't capture a photo of Michael, Yolanda, or George.  Luckily, they live in Atlanta, so hopefully we can get one of them soon!

Max sharing a toy with Baby Drew.

Max hanging out on the couch with Alex.  I know it warmed Da's heart to see these two interacting and playing.

Tossing and catching the football.

Max's face says it all--we had a great time and look forward to the next chance to be together again!
